Kirsten Dunst For those of you who are not so familiar with Midnight Special, let us first inform you that we're talking about an upcoming supernatural project (read: another sci-fi drama) which comes from writer/director Jeff Nichols. The movie already stars Michael Shannon and Joel Edgerton, but what definitely sounds promising is that Melancholia star Kirsten Dunst is (all of the sudden) also on board to play the female lead! So, at this moment we know that Mud helmer, Nichols, will direct the whole thing from his own script which is set in present day, and revolves around:
…a father and son who are forced into going on the run when the eight-year old boy develops some kind of extraordinary power.
Unfortunately, that's pretty much all we know about Midnight Special so far. Let us also add that Sarah Green and Brian Kavanaugh-Jones are producing the flick, while Glen Basner and Christos V. Konstantakopoulos will serve as executive producers. As usual – with every new update we'll be back, so make sure you stay tuned! Kirsten Dunst Image
