Leonardo DiCaprio Will Voice Animated Jack Frost In “The Guardians”
Leonardo DiCaprio has signed up for his first animated movie DreamWorks' “The Guardians.”
DiCaprio will voice Jack Frost in the Peter Ramsey-directed project.
David Lindsay-Abaire will adapt the script from William Joyce‘s (Shrek) highly anticipated yet-to-be published books “The Guardians Of Childhood”
The plot centres on an evil spirit called Pitch, who wants to inspire fear in the hearts of kids around the world. Jack Frost (DiCaprio), Santa, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy and the Sandman join together to bring down the villainous spirit and protect the world.
They must join forces to squelch Pitch's diabolic plan and restore justice across the globe. Not only are the Guardians known for their own holiday prowess, they are also superheroes that possess their own individual super powers.
DiCaprio is the first actor to be announced in associated with the project. No other cast members have been revealed yet.
“The Guardians” will be released in theaters on November 2nd, 2012.
