Liam Neeson & James Nesbitt in “Five Minutes of Heaven”
Liam Neeson and James Nesbitt are teaming up to tackle the Northern Ireland Troubles in “Five Minutes of Heaven.””Heaven” revolves around two men whose lives have been wrecked by the violent conflict that rocked Northern Ireland from the 1960s through the beginning of the peace process in 1998.
Teuton helmer Oliver Hirschbiegel, who previously tackled the demise of Adolf Hitler in “Downfall,” is directing the project.
The project is produced by Eoin O’Callaghan at Big Fish Films and executive produced by Paul Trijbits at London-based Ruby Films.
Sales are being handled by British-based, French-owned Pathe International, which is backing the project alongside BBC Northern Ireland, Northern Ireland Screen, the Irish Film Board and Element Pictures, which will distribute the film in Eire.
