As we previously reported, Gore Verbinski‘s action western revolves around Depp’s Tonto, a Native American spirit warrior who recounts the untold tales that transformed John Reid, played by Hammer, into a legend of justice.
Ted Elliott, Terry Rossio and Justin Haythe stand behind the movie script, while Jerry Bruckheimer (who was also in charge for Pirates of the Caribbean franchise) is producing the whole thing.
Beside Depp, Hammer and Bonham Carter, the rest of The Lone Ranger cast also includes Tom Wilkinson, William Fichtner, Barry Pepper, James Badge Dale and Ruth Wilson, and the movie is set to hit theaters on July 3rd, 2013.
