Matt Damon Joins Christopher Nolan’s INTERSTELLAR

Matt Damon-Interstellar

Another Hollywood's A-list actor is joining the ridiculous cast of Christopher Nolan's sci-fi film Interstellar. Elysium star Matt Damon was cast in a ‘small, undisclosed role' that means he'll shoot for two weeks of the overall four month shoot.

Nollan has already populated this project with a bevy of excellent performers who previously collaborated with him like Anne Hathaway and Michael Caine alongside newcomers Matthew McConaughey, Jessica Chastain, Bill Irwin, John Lithgow, Casey Affleck, Topher Grace, David Gyasi, Wes Bentley, Mackenzie Foy, Timothée Chalamet, David Oyelowo, Elyes Gabel and Ellen Burstyn.

The upcoming sci-fi epic follows the adventures of a group of explorers who make use of a newly discovered wormhole to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage.

Directed and co-penned by Nolan, Interstellar will be released on November 7th, 2014.

Besides, Damon is in early talks to finally make his directorial debut with Paramount Pictures' true-life thriller The Foreigner (also referred to as ‘A Murder Foretold'), written by Academy Award-winning Argo screenwriter Chris Terrio.

Based on a 2008 New Yorker article by David Grann, the story revolves around a corporate attorney who is gunned down in the escalating violence in Guatemala, and leaves behind a videotape after his death implicating the president, his wife, and other close aides in his killing.

As for Damon, he recently laughed off the idea of playing Robin to Ben Affleck's Batman, but also spoke up in defense of buddy Affleck:

I know there are a lot of people grousing on the internet. I just think it's kind of funny. You know, he's not playing King Lear. It's Batman! Certainly within his skill set. If anybody saw Argo or The Town, and all the work he's been doing lately, it's way more nuanced and interesting and way more difficult than Batman!

That’s a great news for Interstellar. It’ll make it interesting to watch. And thank GOD Nolan came out of his favorite cast.

By the way, here are the top films that Oscar-winner Jennifer Lawrence is doing in upcoming years.

I Think Christopher Nolan is the greatest director of Modern time. I love his movies. I loved his Batman Trilogy and I think Interstellar will be the biggest hit of this year.

I have already added it to my list of best movies of 2014:
