Ready for some heat? This time it’s Java Heat we’re talking about, a new project that comes from writer and director Conor Allyn, and that will have two great guys in the leading roles.
Just in case you don’t trust me, I’m here to inform you that both Kellan Lutz and Mickey Rourke are set to star in the whole thing! Straight from Immortals to the Java Heat? Not so bad, you must admit!
Shortly speaking, Java Heat centers on “an unlikely friendship between a mysterious American who teams up with a Muslim cop on the trail of a new breed of klepto-terrorists in Southeast Asia.”
But, in case you’re interested in more official details, here’s full synopsis part:
“At a time when relations between the West and Islam are hot topics, Java Heat stars Lutz as Jake, a reckless tough guy who – like America after 9/11-is bent on vengeance against Islamic terrorists, but finds the world a more complicated place than he can solve with violence alone. Lost in the religious and cultural shock of the palaces, mosques, temples, subterranean labyrinths and red-light districts of Southeast Asia’s criminal underworld, Jake must ally with a cerebral, suspicious Muslim detective.
they play a cat-and-mouse game against a decadent jewel thief, Malik (Rourke), who masterminds bombings and kidnappings to collect art, jewels, even little boys and a princess – all in a desperate search for the faded beauty of his own lost youth.”
As we previously mentioned Lutz and Rourke star together in Universal’s Immortals, an epic story about Zeus, the Titans and the power-mad King Hyperion which opens November 11th.
