ROBOCOP Concept Art Hey, hey, RoboCop‘s fans (& haters), you're all going to love this! We have a completely fresh promo video and some cool images from the upcoming movie (read – concept art), and as usual – we want to share the fun with you! Make sure you check out the rest of this report for almost-4-minute video and hear what director Jose Padilha and the rest of his team have to say about the whole thing. ROBOCOP Concept Art Image 01 First of all – little reminder! Joel Kinnaman, Gary Oldman, Michael Keaton, Samuel L. Jackson, Abbie Cornish, Jackie Earle Haley, Michael K. Williams, Jay Baruchel, Jennifer Ehle and Marianne Jean-Baptiste all star in Padilha's movie which is set to open on February 7th, 2014. ROBOCOP Concept Art Image 02 Now, let's hear the director and his team: producer Eric Newman, production designer Martin Whist, and visual effects supervisor Jamie Price. And, of course, let us also take the first (and muuuuuch better) look at the redesigned ED-209, RoboCop‘s hardware, the film's environment, the famous suit, the OmniCorp offices and… well, watch for God's sake! *** PROMO VIDEO REMOVED BY STUDIO REQUEST ***
In the movie, the year is 2028 and multinational conglomerate OmniCorp is at the center of robot technology. Their drones are winning American wars around the globe and now they want to bring this technology to the home front. Alex Murphy (Kinnaman) is a loving husband, father and good cop doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in Detroit. After he is critically injured in the line of duty, OmniCorp utilizes their remarkable science of robotics to save Alex's life. He returns to the streets of his beloved city with amazing new abilities, but with issues a regular man has never had to face before.

Why couldn’t they just leave the design for Robo with the first, silver suit you see in the vid? It looks way better than the black one, and has more in common with the original. Black ones looks like a generic combo of Batman, Judge Dredd, and G.I.Joe… :/

I look at the detail on the black suit up close and personal and it looks pretty badass
