New IRON MAN 3 Still

Tony Stark, aka the Invincible Iron Man, looks like he has seen better days in this new still from the film. To keep everyone talking about the upcoming production, Marvel Studios has unveiled a new photo from next summer's Iron Man 3. It shows Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.) in a completely thrashed suit of armor, apparently after some epic battle. In other news related to the wicked-sweet blockbuster, Atlanta Hip-Hop star T.I. told Rap-Up.com in a recent interview that he was considered for an unspecified role in the Marvel threequel, but he dropped out due to scheduling conflict. The rapper-turned-actor, whose previous films include ATL and Takers, said:

I was being considered for this one film. Now that it's over with, I can say it. ‘Iron Man 3.' I was being considered for ‘Iron Man 3' and it wasn't to be Iron Man, it was to be another character in the film but our schedules did not align and they had to do their little movie anyway. …I told them go on ahead, I didn't want to get in their way.

So nice of him to give the studio green-light, isn't it? Well, after the disappointing box office total for Iron Man 2, the phenomenal success of Marvel's The Avengers hopefully will help keep Iron Man 3 from going down a dark path. The movie, set to be released on May 3rd, 2013, also stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak, and James Badge Dale, with Jon Favreau and Ben Kingsley.
