In case you're not so familiar with this project I will just remind you it comes from the
Dardenne Brothers and stars
Cécile de France, Jérémie Renier and young
Thomas Doret.
The Kid With a Bike premiered at Cannes last year, and received only positive comments.
As you'll see from this trailer the movie follows a young boy who is struggling with his own anger and a longing for someone to care for him, after his father abandons him in a children's home.
But it looks that a new life starts for him right after he crosses paths with Samantha, a single woman running a hairdressing salon out of her home, simply because together they forge an uneasy bond that becomes tested as the young boy continues to act out and falls in with the wrong crowd.
Sundance Selects acquired the distribution rights for the United States and the movie will open on March 16th, 2012.
