Walt Disney Pictures has just released online its latest, action-packed trailer for
Frozen, featuring the voices of
Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Jonathan Groff, Josh Gad, Santino Fontana and
Alan Tudyk.
Based loosely on Hans Christian Anderson's ‘
The Snow Queen', the 53rd film in the Disney Animation Studios collection is a stunning big-screen comedy adventure directed by
Chris Buck (Tarzan) and
Jennifer Lee (Wreck-It Ralph), who also wrote the screenplay.
Frozen centers around a young dreamer named Anna (voiced by Bell), ‘who sets off on a journey, teaming up with an extreme mountain man Kristoff (voice of Groff) and his loyal reindeer Sven, to find her sister Elsa (voice of Idina Menzel), whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter. Encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls and a hilarious snowman sidekick Olaf (voiced by Gad), Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom.'
Sadly, the first theatrical trailer doesn't really give viewers a peek at any of the songs from Tony® winner
Robert Lopez (The Book of Mormon) and
Kristen Anderson-Lopez (Winnie the Pooh), and an original score by
Christophe Beck (The Muppets, Oscar®-winning short Paperman).
Don't worry; you won't have to wait long –
Frozen hits theaters in 3D on November 27th, 2013.
