Nick Nolte,The Company You Keep

Political thriller The Company You Keep tells the story of a 30 year long FBI search for a Weather Underground terrorist, to be played by Robert Redford, who must escape the law after his identity is exposed by an ambitious reporter portrayed by Shia LaBeouf. If you didn't hear it with your own ears, Nick Nolte is in talks for this movie, which is adaptation of the Neil Gordon novel of the same name, but the details of his role haven't been announced yet. As you can see Redford directs and stars as a former terrorist. Book-to-script adaptation was penned by The Limey and upcoming Haywire writer Lem Dobbs. After the fact that the script for The Limey is rather stunning, and Haywire is laid out properly, his involvement in The Company You Keep could be a good sign. Redford has a talent for directing (Ordinary People, Quiz Show) and he needs the right material. Producer Nicolas Chartier said of The Company You Keep:
This is an edge-of-your-seat thriller about real Americans who stood for their beliefs, thinking they were patriots and defending their country's ideals against their government.”
Some of the Weather Underground terrorist group's leading members remain loud-mouthed and not sorry to this day. One of the WU co-founder Bill Ayers has openly said that he still does not denounce WU violence. As for vet Nolte, audiences can hear his voice as Bernie the Gorilla in the comedy Zookeeper, but he's also got the role of an alcoholic former boxer, a father of Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton in the upcoming mixed martial arts drama Warrior. Good for him! Do you think Nolte would make a good fit for the film along LaBeouf? Source: Variety
