It’s all about Jack Harper who wants to share a little message with you – Earth is a memory worth waiting for…
And Jack Harper aka Tom Cruise is one of the last few drone repairmen stationed on Earth. As part of a massive operation to extract the planet’s remaining vital resources, he lives in an airborne town floating thousands of meters above the Earth (quite logical, ’cause we’re in 2073, remember?)
The rest of the story goes like this:
Living in and patrolling the breathtaking skies from thousands of feet above, his soaring existence is brought crashing down when he rescues a beautiful stranger from a downed spacecraft. Her arrival triggers a chain of events that forces him to question everything he knows and puts the fate of humanity in his hands.
Beside Cruise, Oblivion cast also includes Morgan Freeman, Olga Kurylenko, Andrea Riseborough, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Melissa Leo, and the movie is set to open on April 19th, 2013.
