Get Ready To Reveal ORADOUR Wartime Mystery

Oradour Village

Take a good look at this creepy photo: that's the French village of Oradour after the liberation. Well, guess what – nothing has changed, the village has been left untouched to this day to serve as a reminder of Nazi evil. Man, sometimes you just have to hate history. Or, make the feature film about the infamous Oradour mystery?

That's exactly the point – Arrowhead is set to start production this summer on Oradour, a thriller based on the last of the unsolved mysteries of Nazi-occupied France.

Produced by Richard Bates, Martyn Auty and Francesca Barra, the feature film is based on Robin Mackness' 1988 non-fiction book which revealed the story of 642 French villagers who were massacred by SS troops in 1944.

David Gilman stands behind the Oradour script and:

…the film is set for screening next spring, marking seventy years after the event, and to coincide with the re-opening of an investigation of the massacre by German War Crimes Prosecutors who believe that there are Nazis still living who were involved in this devastation of a whole village in which 452 of those murdered were women and children.

Filming will be undertaken on location in France and Switzerland with studio shoots in the UK.

Casting is currently underway, so I guess we'll soon have more updates to share, make sure to stay tuned!
