We already reported that
Debra Messing is on board for the upcoming (and yet) untitled CBS' comedy pilot, which comes from
Julie Rottenberg and
Elisa Zuritsky.
Today, we're here for a little casting update, because we've just learned that
Paul Adelstein will join the team! And, the good thing is that
Private Practice star jumps in to play Messing's husband.
As we previously reported, the pilot is created by Rottenberg and Zuritsky and is based on the Israeli TV series titled
Mother's Day.
The single-camera comedy will revolve around Messing's character – a married mother named Gabby, who struggles to balance her family and work.
She is a mother of three, a lover, a friend and a career woman, and she constantly lies her way out of and into situations – little lies, big lies, white and at times not-so-white lies.
As for Adelstein, he comes on board to play Messing's husband Bryan, a good-natured Google employee who loves his wife and family, but doesn't quite get how much of a burden his wife is carrying.
So far – so good. Messing and Adelstein make a perfect couple, hope you agree?
Stay tuned for more updates!
