Phillip Noyce to Direct THE ARRANGEMENT Thriller

Fiona October 24, 2011 Add a Comment
Phillip Noyce Phillip Noyce is getting busy! Salt director is now attached to direct thriller titled The Arrangement for Mandate Pictures and it looks that we have quite interesting story in here. Of course, it's too early to expect some great details about the whole thing but as usual with Noyce on board, this has to be great! So, at this moment we know that The Arrangement comes from writer Brian Tucker, and that a story will follow a married woman who makes a deal to spend three days with a wealthy man in exchange for a bailout loan, and then must choose between him and her husband. But, that's not all, because according to THR, the husband is white, the woman is half-white, half-black, and their unity is tested when another man, who happens to be black, takes a liking to the wife and begins to create problems. Just for a record, they also add that screenwriter Tucker “writes post-Obama stories that forces audiences to question themselves.” On the other hand, guys from Mandate added that “Noyce's deftness with genre combined with compassion for his characters made him a perfect match for what we hope will be a real water cooler movie.” No production start date has been set, but, as usual, we'll keep an eye on it!
