This movie really, and I mean – really looks fantastic to me, so I’m definitely ready for that arcade-game-hopping journey with Ralph and his friends!
Rich Moore‘s animation comedy centers on the bad guy Ralph (you know, he’s not bad, it’s just that his job is to be bad, so that Fix-It Felix could jump in and steal all the good-guy glory) who, after decades doing the same thing decides he’s sick and tired of playing the role of a bad guy.
So, he takes matters into his own massive hands and sets off on a game-hopping journey across the arcade through every generation of video games to prove he’s got what it takes to be a hero.
On his quest, he meets the tough-as-nails Sergeant Calhoun (from the action game Hero’s Duty) and Vanellope von Schweetz (from the candy-coated cart racing game Sugar Rush).
Vanellope’s world is threatened when Ralph accidentally unleashes a deadly enemy that threatens the entire arcade.
Will Ralph realize his dream and save the day before it’s too late? Go Ralph!
The voice-cast includes John C. Reilly, Sarah Silverman, Jack McBrayer, Jane Lynch, Alan Tudyk, Ed O’Neill, Mindy Kaling, and Adam Carolla.
