Rob Lowe to Play John F. Kennedy

Rob Lowe

Rob Lowe, welcome back to politics! We’ve just learned that Parks and Recreation star is set to play John F. Kennedy in an upcoming National Geographic’s factual drama titled Killing Kennedy.

As you already guess, the film is a follow-up to their Killing Lincoln movie which drew 3.4 million viewers, so it’s safe to say – we have no doubts in this project. Head inside to read more details about the story…

Based on a book ‘Killing Kennedy: The End of Camelot’, written by Fox News commentator Bill O’Reilly and Martin Dugard, the movie begins in 1959 and follows the paths of Kennedy, a member of one of the United States’ most wealthy and powerful families, and his assassin Lee Harvey Oswald – a disillusioned former Marine and Marxist – until they collide in Dallas four years later.

Nelson McCormick will direct the movie which also stars Michelle Trachtenberg as Oswald’s Soviet-born wife, Marina Oswald, and Ginnifer Goodwin as former First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy. The actor who will portray Oswald will be cast within the next two weeks.

Production on Killing Kennedy will begin in June in Richmond, Va., and is expected to air close to the 50th anniversary of JFK’s assassination on Nov. 22.

We’ll keep an eye on it, make sure you stay tuned for more updates!
