Robert Pattinson To Star In Remember Me

Fiona March 15, 2012 13 comments
Robert Pattinson The 22-year-old “Twilight” sensation Robert Pattinson is scheduled to begin shooting new Summit Entertainment project “Remember Me” this summer in New York while the actor is between Twilight sequels “New Moon,” which wraps at the end of May, and “Eclipse,” which starts in August. Emmy-winning director Allen Coulter (“The Sopranos,” “Damages“) will direct, and Jenny Lumet, who penned the script for last year's “Rachel Getting Married,” is working on a draft of the screenplay. Pattinson will play the lead role in “Remember Me,” a story of a young couple whose burgeoning relationship is complicated by a succession of family tragedies that test their bond. Summit co-chairman and CEO Patrick Wachsberger wouldn't go into too much detail on the plot but described the film as this generation's “Love Story,” the classic 1970 romance starring Ali MacGraw and Ryan O'Neal. The film's producers have not yet decided on the actress who will play Pattinson's love interest. Landing the “Remember Me” lead marks the first major role for Pattinson since he rocketed to public adulation for his portrayal of vampire Edward Cullen in the “Twilight” franchise. He had been signed to appear alongside Rosario Dawson in “Parts per Billion,” but was forced to drop out due to his “New Moon” commitment. Pattinson will next be seen in the Salvador Dalí biopic “Little Ashes” he shot before “Twilight.”

I agree, he is soo talented. His music, his acting… his acting really gives me chills, I really see and feel what he tries to give off as the character.
He is overall modest, and AMAZING

Can’t wait for this movie to come out. I think Twilight was just showing the surface of Robert Pattinson’s acting skills, can’t wait to see him in a role with more depth.

Other signs that this movie is going to be good:
1 – it has Chris Cooper. He’s always great.
2 – great songs in the trailer, especially “Asleep” by The Album Leaf (the one that plays about halfway through). That song is just about as dreamy as Robert himself!
