It's official now –
Ryan Reynolds is indeed the new
Highlander in the upcoming Summit's reboot of the well-known 1986 movie.
As you already know,
Juan Carlos Fresnadillo is in charge of directing the whole thing, while Neal Moritz and Peter Davis are on board to produce the reboot. Now, with Reynolds (again, officially) involved…well, I don't know what to think…
Of course, it's too early to talk about the possible plot, but we can already guess that the movie will center on Reynolds as an immortal swordsman who battled other immortal warriors through the centuries. Just as
Christopher Lambert did 20 (and something) years ago.
Let us just say that Matt Holloway and Art Marcum (duo behind Iron Man) penned the script and that folks from Summit acquired the rights to remake the cult classic from Davis-Panzer Productions, Inc. in May of 2008.
So, what do you think? Is Reynolds a good choice for Highlander or what?
