I know you're all familiar with this project, simply because Jason Statham stars as the lead in this one, so go ahead, enjoy this new TV spot for Boaz Yakin‘s Safe.
The movie opens this April, it promise us a lot of action, and from what I see, it looks that Statham really knows how to protect someone.
In Safe, Statham plays Luke Wright who lives a numbing life of routine beatings and chump change until the day he blows a rigged fight. But the real action starts when he witnesses a frightened twelve-year-old Chinese girl, Mei, being pursued by the same gangsters who killed his wife. Then, our hero Luke jumps into the heart of a deadly high-stakes war.
As usual, there's a catch. Because he soon discovers that Mei is no ordinary girl, but an orphaned math prodigy forced to work for the Triads as a “counter.” He discovers she holds in her memory a priceless numerical code that the Triads, the Russian mob and a corrupt faction of the NYPD will kill for…
The rest of the cast includes Robert John Burke, Chris Sarandon, Anson Mount and Catherine Chan.
