Another casting update for the upcoming Snow White and the Huntsman! But, let's get something straight right here at the beginning, we're not here to report they finally have a huntsman!
We're here to report that Rupert Sanders' upcoming project finally has a prince, and it will be Sam Claflin, guy who will be next seen in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. Not bad after all?
Of course not! As you already know, this new version of the Snow White will follow Evil Queen who hires a huntsman to kill Snow White in order to secure her own place as “the fairest of them all.”
Only, this time, the huntsman (who was originally supposed to kill Snow White but ends up letting her go) becomes her protector and mentor as they try to escape from the evil queen who ordered her death.
Rupert Sanders is directing from a script by Evan Daugherty, although Universal is reportedly in talks with screenwriter Hossein Amini to do some work on the script.
So far, this project has some great cast on board, and when we say that we actually mean that Kristen Stewart is Snow White while Charlize Theron is the Evil Queen.
On the other hand, some interesting names are still being rumored for the huntsman role, (latest one is Thor star Chris Hemsworth) but until something official comes out, you'll just have to stay tuned!
Snow White and the Huntsman is set to open on December 21, 2012.
