Sneak Preview at a STAR TREK 2′ Klingon
I also missed J.J. Abrams appearance on the MTV Movie Awards last night, but very soon after the show aired, TrekMovie.com included extra piece where the material joined up on the corners – the very interesting photo that you see attached to this story.
Obviously, it seems that there was a Klingon on a monitor behind Abrams during his appearance and HitFix's sources have confirmed that this Klingon image ‘was not an accident.' No doubt, it's possible this is a genuine shot of a Klingon from the new movie. ‘The king of secrecy' is actually trying to debunk the rumor.
However, the Klingon figure shown in the monitor was similar to the one in a deleted scene from the 2009 film – Klingons were featured in the deleted scenes wearing helmets such as you see below.
I don't want to get caught in the trap of defending the rumor, so I will rather avoid making a leap to an unwarranted conclusion – we'll only figure out the plot once a trailer for the film hits the Web or we'll have to wait until Star Trek 2 hits theaters May 17th, 2013 to find out.
Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, John Cho, Anton Yelchin and Bruce Greenwood reprise their roles from the original with new parts for Benedict Cumberbatch, Alice Eve and Peter Weller.
