Here's a huge update for all sci-fi fans out there: a brand new trailer, four new featurettes and an awesome special animation clip for Joon-ho Bong‘s upcoming Snowpiercer! You already know that Bong's English-language debut has an awesome cast on board, now head inside to hear what they have to say about the whole thing and prepare for the most dreadful scenes of misery and cruelty…
As you already had a chance to see from the first trailer, the movie is set in a future where, after a failed experiment to stop global warming, an ice age has killed off nearly all life on the planet.
Based on the French graphic novel Le Transperceneige, and co-written by Bong and Kelly Masterson, Snowpiercer stars Chris Evans, Song Kang-ho, Jamie Bell, Alison Pill, John Hurt, Tilda Swinton, Octavia Spencer, and Ed Harris (in case you've missed our previous reports, here are some great character posters and images where you can take a much better look at Bong's cast).
So, after that failed experiment:
…an Ice Age kills off all life on the planet except for the inhabitants of the Snow Piercer, a train that travels around the globe and is powered by a sacred perpetual-motion engine. A class system evolves on the train but a revolution brews.
Unfortunately, still nothing about the official release date here, but as usual – we'll keep an eye on it, so you have nothing to worry about.
