Sounds like a joke, but it's true – Sylvester Stallone is now attached to star in the upcoming animated web series titled Soul Survivor.
As usual, Lionsgate studio will be behind this project, and when it comes to Stallone – well, at this moment the only thing we know about his involvement is that he will play a “last-of-his-kind mercenary.” Sounds familiar, right?
The whole thing is still without an online home, but according to some reports, folks from Lionsgate are in negotiations with Reliance to broadcast the show.
And, just for a record, Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer also revealed that the company has partnered on three additional internet TV shows, which include the Canadian drama “Endgame”, then “New Black” from ‘Weeds' creator Jenji Kohan and zombie-apocalypse comedy “Bite Me”.
Still sounds a little bit strange, but hey – we should give them a try. After all, Lionsgate is behind Stallone's upcoming The Expendables 2 so I guess they make a good team together after all…
