TEXAS KILLING FIELDS Trailer
One thing is sure — Sam Worthington (Avatar) has to have a southern accent, or more specifically, a Texan drawl while hunting down the killer.
All jokes aside, Anchor Bay Films release the first official trailer for Texas Killing Fields, a new suspense-thriller starring Sam Worthington and Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Watchmen), two detectives who track the sadistic serial killer responsible for dumping his bodies in the marsh locals call ‘Killing Fields' nearby.
The film also stars Chloe Grace Moretz (Kick Ass), Jessica Chastain (The Tree of Life), Stephen Graham (Boardwalk Empire) and Jason Clarke (Public Enemies).
This looks chaotic, intense, or even scary, so I am already feeling pretty disturbed and gross about myself after watching that trailer.
Danny Boyle, who was originally attached to direct and was replaced by Michael Mann's daughter Ani Canaan Mann, said at one point that the film was ‘so dark it would never get made' and I can understand it.
Furthermore, the killer seemingly changes his plan and ultimately begins hunting the detectives, teasing them with possible clues at the crime scenes, but our killer seems to always be one step ahead. When a familiar local girl, Anne (Chloe Moretz) has gone missing, the detectives find themselves in a deadly race against time.
The Fields aka Texas Killing Fields will be competing for the Golden Lion at the 68th Venice Film Festival in September and will arrive in limited theaters on October 7th.
