In Italy, a woman becomes involved in a series of unauthorized exorcisms during her mission to discover what happened to her mother, who allegedly murdered three people during an exorcism performed on her. Maria’s possession proves to be unlike anything in the history of Christianity. It goes horribly wrong, and the only piece of evidence is the footage caught by the film crew.
No doubt, this is the plot of William Brent Bell‘s supernatural horror film The Devil Inside, which Paramount’s hoping it would be its next Paranormal Activity. The film was shot in a realistic documentary style in 2010 in several different locations, including Bucharest (Romania), Rome (Italy) and Vatican City.
Today we have The Devil Inside red-band trailer and it definitely raises the stakes.
The film stars Fernanda Andrade, Simon Quarterman, Evan Helmuth, and Suzan Crowley, and is slated to be released on January 6th, 2012.
Check out the newly released trailer, which focuses on a woman ‘searching for someone to help her understand what happened to her mother 20 years prior.’
