Alright, fine. Another horror movie trailer. The Drowned—or was it The Waterhouse before?—just flopped onto YouTube, and I'm… conflicted.
It's got the ingredients: creepy seaside safe house, a stolen painting, three dudes panicking because their fourth buddy vanished. Classic. But then it swerves into “Is this Greek mythology or just bad luck?” territory. Sirens? Maybe? The trailer's more moody than terrifying, honestly.
UK gets it October 6th, US on the 7th. Straight to VOD, because of course it is.

Director Samuel Clemens (not Twain, don't get excited) usually does shorts and podcasts, so this is his big debut. Congrats, I guess? The trailer's got that “we shot this in a real house and it shows” indie vibe.
Also—why does the water look like it's from a stock footage site? And are those women sirens or just… wet?
Auntie logic: “If your horror movie needs mythology to be scary, you're trying too hard.”
Anyway. Might watch. Might not. The trailer's fine, but I've already forgotten half of it.
