Anyone out there familiar with this face? We've just learned that the 24-year-old Glen Powell is set to play the lead in The Expendables 3! Or, if you prefer – he comes on board to play a military hacker and drone expert in the ensemble sequel, which already stars Sylvester Stallone, Harrison Ford, Mel Gibson and Antonio Banderas.
And ok, maybe we still know nothing about the official plot, but at least we know that the rest of the (awesome) cast will include Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Statham, Kellan Lutz, Ronda Rousey and Victor Ortiz, while Jackie Chan, Wesley Snipes, Nicolas Cage and Milla Jovovich are (still) rumored.
But, what definitely sounds promising is that Stallone already revealed:
We are thinking about different concepts, the third one is the hardest. The second is the natural progression. The third, that's when the air gets rare. We're thinking ambitiously about it…You now have to give audiences something they don't expect at all—maybe even going into a different genre.
Anyway, until something official arrives, let us also add that Bruce Willis, who starred in the first two films, will definitely not return for The Expendables 3.
According to the latest reports, Willis was offered $3 million for four days of consecutive work on location in Bulgaria for the film, but he said he'd drop out unless he got $4 million.
