Willem Dafoe as Martin, a skilled and ruthless mercenary sent into the Tasmanian wilderness on a hunt for a tiger believed to be extinct.
As you can see from this trailer, Martin gets hired by an anonymous company that wants the tiger's genetic material.
So, Martin arrives in Tasmania posing as a scientist and proceeds to set up base camp at a broken-down farmhouse, where he stays with a family whose father has gone missing.
Usually a loner, he becomes increasingly close to the family; however, as his attachment to the family grows, Martin is led down a path of unforeseen dangers, complicating his deadly mission.
Sounds and looks like a quite intense adventure, so we're looking forward to April 6th, 2012 theatrical release of The Hunter”

Willem Defoe is probably one of the most underrated actors now- although he had so many great roles, he tends to be forgotten much too often. This film actually looks really interesting, I hope it won’t disappoint us.
