I have no idea what’s going on – but all of the sudden we have the very first trailer and poster for The Lego Movie. Yep, next year, the fate of the world is in his tiny little hands! And he is an ordinary, rules-following, perfectly average LEGO minifigure named Emmet. Still not sure what to think about this video, but… Man, who am I kidding, this doesn’t look bad at all! Check it out!
Directed by Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs helmers Phil Lord and Chris Miller, the original 3D computer animated story revolves around the above mentioned Emmet guy, mistaken as being the Master Builder – the one who can save the universe!
Here’s more details about the whole thing:
Emmet, an ordinary, rules-following, perfectly average LEGO minifigure is mistakenly identified as the most extraordinary person and the key to saving the world. He is drafted into a fellowship of strangers on an epic quest to stop an evil tyrant, a journey for which Emmet is hopelessly and hilariously underprepared.
The first-ever full length theatrical LEGO movie has an awesome cast on board which includes Chris Pratt as Emmet, Will Ferrell as his primary adversary President Business, Liam Neeson as Bad Cop, Morgan Freeman as an old mystic named Vitruvius, Elizabeth Banks as tough-as-nails Lucy, and Will Arnett as the mysterious Batman.
The Lego Movie is already set to hit theaters on February 7th, 2014.
Don’t forget to click on this poster to take a better look at Emmet and his friends, and as usual – let us know what you think about the whole thing!
