Paramount Pictures has debuted the trailer for Martin Scorsese‘s new film The Wolf of Wall Street that looks goddamn awesome!
Oscar-winning director has always been able to surprise us throughout his career, and he's able to do it again.
In the vein of: Baz Luhrmann's The Great Gatsby meets Oliver Stone's Wall Street meets Michael Bay's Pain and Gain, the upcoming drama-thriller is based on the memoir of Jordan Belfort. The film stars Leonardo DiCaprio as the memoir author Belfort, a hard-partying, drug-addicted stockbroker who was ‘indicted in 1998 for security fraud and money laundering and served a 22-month federal prison stretch.'
Three-time Oscar nominee's character says in the trailer:
The year I turned 26, I made $49 million, which really pissed me off because it was just shy of $1 million a week.
Former broker refuses to cooperate in an investigation into widespread corruption on Wall Street, including mob infiltration.
The Wolf of Wall Street also stars Jonah Hill, Margot Robbie, Matthew McConaughey, Jon Favreau, Kyle Chandler, Rob Reiner, Jean Dujardin, Pj Byrne and Kenneth Choi.
The film is set for a US release on November 15th, 2013.
