Here are some colorful and pretty weird images from Terry Gilliam‘s upcoming sci-fi drama The Zero Theorem. As you’re about to see, Christoph Waltz sure looks awesome as a reclusive computer genius (he’s working on a formula to determine whether life holds meaning, give him a break!), but what about his tiger-friend? Wait, that thing is actually… David Thewlis? Never mind, head inside to take a look!
We will once again remind you that Gilliam directed the whole thing from a script written by Pat Rushin, which revolves around the above mentioned computer genius whose goal is to discover the reason for human existence.
(Un)fortunately, he continually finds his work interrupted thanks to the Management, and this time, they send a teenager and lusty love interest to distract him.
Or, if you prefer the official synopsis:
Qohen Leth is an eccentric and reclusive computer genius who lives in an Orwellian corporate world and suffers from existential angst. He works on a mysterious project aimed at discovering the purpose of existence or the lack thereof once and for all. However, it is only once he experiences the power of love and desire that he is able to understand his very reason for being.
Beside Waltz who plays Qohen, the rest of The Zero Theorem cast includes Matt Damon as Management, Tilda Swinton, Ben Whishaw, Mélanie Thierry, David Thewlis and Lucas Hedges.
As usual – all you have to do is click on all these images to enlarge, and to make sure you stay tuned for more updates.
Don’t forget – the movie is selected to compete for the Golden Lion prize at this year’s Venice Film Festival, so we definitely expect some clip or trailer as soon as possible!
