Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz To Star Together Again?
James Mangold (“3:10 to Yuma,” “Walk the Line,” “Kate & Leopold“) will be directing an untitled romantic comedy for 20th Century Fox.
The project formerly is known as “Wichita” and “Trouble Man” and screenwriter Scott Frank is working on a rewrite.
Story revolves around a woman who has terrible luck with men but finds her path intertwined with that of a mysterious handsome man she meets on a blind date.
Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz might star in this project but this is not official.
The project is one of several films that Cruise is considering and Diaz just became attached to Paramount's romantic comedy “Swingles.”
Cruise and Diaz appeared together back in 2001's “Vanilla Sky,” US version of “Abre Los Ojos” (1997) directed by Alejandro Amenábar.
Chris Tucker and Eva Mendes were attached last year along with director Tom Dey, but that combination was unsuccessful.
