Tom Cruise Isn’t THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E. Anymore

Tom Cruise Tom Cruise has reportedly dropped out of the big screen reboot of the American spy series The Man from U.N.C.L.E. The actor came on-board to play Napoleon Solo in March, but he has stepped out of the Guy Ritchie‘s picture to focus on gearing up for producing and starring in Mission: Impossible 5. Warner Bros. will now looking for a replacement partner for just recently added the Lone Ranger star Armie Hammer with hopes to start shooting the project in the fall. The Man from U.N.C.L.E. also recently added Royal Wedding star Alicia Vikander. On the other hand, Cruise is hoping to start shooting Mission: Impossible 5 before the end of the year, the sequel which doesn't currently have a director attached, but does have Iron Man 3 co-writer Drew Pearce handling the script. Deadline who broke the news doesn't mention any of the stars the studio is considering as a replacement for Cruise. Warner Bros. might set up a new franchise with two young leads as agents of the United Network Command for Law Enforcement, Napoleon Solo and Illya Kuryakin that could continue on with future films. This is of course just a guess. Who do you want to see play Napoleon Solo? Man from U.N.C.L.E
