Yesterday we promised you the trailer for Paranormal Activity creator Oren Peli‘s new horror-thriller Chernobyl Diaries. Today, first trailer has just landed online as has the one-sheet poster.
The horror survivor movie follows a group of six young tourists on backpacking jaunt through Europe who divert from their planned Moscow visit to see the sight of the infamous nuclear disaster occurrence in Chernobyl — extreme tour guide, ignoring warnings, takes them into the city of Pripyat, the former home to the workers of the Chernobyl nuclear reactor, but a deserted town since the disaster more than 25 years ago.
The hand-held-Geiger-counter film might be an eclectic mix of found footage and conventional style.
Directed by industry vet Brad Parker, it was written by Peli, Carey Van Dyke and Shane Van Dyke starring onathan Sadowski, Devin Kelley, Jesse McCartney, Olivia Taylor Dudley, Nathan Phillips, Ingrid Bolso Berdal and Dimitri Diatchenko.
Warner Bros. scheduled kind of goofy, rather than scary Chernobyl Diaries for release on May 25th, 2012.
