Netflix is set to release Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance, an animated series that promises to captivate both longtime aficionados and newcomers. Set during the tumultuous One Year War, this series delves into the human drama and fierce battles that define the Gundam universe.

The story takes place in the year 0079 of the Universal Century, a pivotal moment when the Principality of Zeon declares independence from the Earth Federation, igniting a war that sees the deployment of powerful humanoid weapons known as Mobile Suits. The series follows the mixed battalion, including the Red Wolves division led by the formidable pilot Iria Sorari, as they battle to reclaim a Zeon-controlled base in Eastern Europe. With the narrative crafted by Gavin Hignight and brought to life under the direction of Erasmus Brosdau, known for the “Origin Zero” series, the show promises a blend of intense action and emotional depth.
