SNITCH Movie Photo The first trailer has arrived for Dwayne Johnson‘s new actioner Snitch, which doesn't feature as much guy-shooting as you might think. Coming from veteran stunt coordinator Ric Roman Waugh the flick follows Johnson as a father who becomes an undercover DEA informant in order to keep his son from going to jail after being wrongfully convicted on a drug charge. I mean we know it doesn't work with the court, so Rock will have to take matters into his own hands once more. Inspired by true events, the film also stars Susan Sarandon, Benjamin Bratt, Jon Bernthal, Nadine Velasquez and Barry Pepper. Snitch feels a little beneath Johnson's potential, but hits theaters on February 22nd, 2013. Dwayne Johnson Check it out below. [jwplayer mediaid=”129706″] Here's the synopsis:
Snitch - RockAction superstar Dwayne Johnson headlines this fast-paced thriller as a father whose teenage son is wrongly accused of a crime and is sentenced to 10 years in jail. The ensemble cast includes Academy Awards Winner Susan Sarandon, Emmy Nominee Benjamin Bratt, and Golden Globe Nominee Barry Pepper. Inspired by a true story, the screenplay was written by Justin Haythe (The Lone Ranger, Revolutionary Road, The Clearing) and adapted by the film's director Ric Roman Waugh.
