Paramount Pictures has launched a brand new trailer for director Martin Scorsese‘s upcoming financial drama The Wolf of Wall Street, the fifth collaboration between him and Leonardo DiCaprio.
It's moved back from November 15th to a Christmas Day release now, and will run around two hours and 45 minutes long, so it will be plenty of movie for us to consume.
Another full-length preview is showing off why this will be a serious Oscar contender and finally get DiCaprio some Oscar love, and if all goes well it could end up getting Jonah Hill his second nomination too. The chemistry between DiCaprio and Hill is simply fantastic.
Based on the memoir of Jordan Belfort, the film centers on a Long Island penny stockbroker who refuses to cooperate in a large securities fraud case involving corruption on Wall Street, corporate banking world and mob infiltration. The screenplay is written by Terence Winter (The Sopranos).
The film also stars Matthew McConaughey, Margot Robbie, Spike Jonze, Jon Favreau, Kyle Chandler, Shea Whigham, Jean Dujardin, Jon Bernthal and Rob Reiner, and opens on December 25th, 2013.
It's nice to see Scorsese return to dark comedy territory. Check out this more traditional trailer below that continues to boast a quirky mix of crime, drama, and wry comedy.
Hasn’t Oliver Stone ALREADY made this movie?
