Today we have a new high resolution photo from The Wolverine. Hugh Jackman (Logan) is in top form again, in fact looking younger and in better shape than I’ve ever seen him. The film is based on Chris Claremont and Frank Miller’s 1982 limited comics series, and tracks Logan as he makes a journey to Japan to confront a figure from his past.
Here’s the synopsis for The Wolverine
Based on the celebrated comic book arc, this epic action-adventure takes Wolverine, the most iconic character of the X-Men universe, to modern day Japan. Out of his depth in an unknown world he faces his ultimate nemesis in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality, emerging more powerful than we have ever seen him before.
James Mangold (Walk the Line, 3:10 to Yuma, Knight and Day) is directing the film from a script by Christopher McQuarrie and Mark Bomback.
The blockbuster also features Will Yun Lee, Svetlana Khodchenkova, Hiroyuki Sanada, Hal Yamanouchi, Tao Okamoto, Rila Fukushima and Brian Tee.
The Wolverine arrives in theaters on July 26th, 2013, including in 3D.
