Well, now it’s Michael Fassbender’s turn to face the in-production X-Men: Days of Future Past as the Master of Magnatism.
Bryan Singer‘s latest Twitter photo from the set marks our first official look at Fassbender reprising his role as Magneto. He’s seen rising above his fellow cast and crew members, truly mastering his magnetic powers in this Marvel sequel, which is currently shooting in Montreal.
Director poked a little fun at Christopher Nolan’s Batman franchise, showing the terrific tag line:
The dark knight rises.
However, it seems like Magneto is not worried about Prof. X’s (James McAvoy) mind trick as he doesn’t feel the need to wear a helmet, while levitating in this most recent set image.
The film’s absolutely mutant ensemble cast also stars Ian McKellen, Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Jennifer Lawrence, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, Peter Dinklage, Omar Sy, Halle Berry, Daniel Cudmore, Fan Bingbing, Evan Peters and Boo Boo Stewart.
The prequel sequel X-Men: Days of Future Past opens July 18th, 2014.
