Zana Marjanovic in Angelina Jolie’s War Love Story
Zana Marjanovic, remember that name, because the latest Hollywood news goes like this:
Snow star has landed the lead in Angelina Jolie's writing and directing debut, still untitled Bosnian War film!
We already had a little chat about this project, so you know that actor Rade Serbedzija (best known from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I as well as The Saint, Snatch, Batman Begins, Eyes Wide Shut, Mission: Impossible II, Thick as Thieves) also joined the movie that is described as:
“a love story set during the Bosnian war, the film focuses on a Serbian man and a Bosnian woman who meet on the eve of the war and the effect the war has on their relationship.”
Jolie has promised to cast only actors from the region, and there you go!
Zana is 27 years old, was born in Sarajevo, attended the Fiorello LaGuardia High School of Music, arts and performing arts in New York, then returned to her hometown where she graduated from the Department of Acting at the Academy of Performing Arts.
We're definitely interested to hear more updates on this one, so make sure you stay tuned!

I am not really sure what is meant here by a “Serbian man falling in love with a Bosnian woman?” As we know, there are Serbs from Bosnia, aka Bosnian Serbs, aka Bosnians…Is she falling in love with A Serb from Croatia, a Serb from Serbia, a Serb from Montenegro…sounds like a foreigner invaded the land..
Please, verify the terminology before making this movie.
