Angelina Jolie to Write and Direct the Afghanistan War Movie

Looks that Angelina Jolie is quite serious about that movie making. We’re already familiar with her In The Land of Blood and Honey directorial debut and all of the sudden we get the chance to hear she’s involved with another war-movie.

Time for her crew to leave Bosnia and move to Afghanistan?

That’s exactly what lovely Angie revealed on CBS’ 60minutes. They report Angelina’s already writing and planning to direct another war film about Afghanistan and she knows as a director her beauty and her acting skills won’t be worth a nickel. Whatever that means.

You will probably accuse us of spreading rumors, but let me tell you once again – she will indeed direct another war story soon.

And don’t give me that surprise face, we all know Jolie is one hell of the humanitarian and she visited Afghanistan back in 2008 and this year as well so it’s quite logical she wants to put her experience (or at least a part of it) on a big screen.

On the other hand, when asked what would she do if she had to decide that in six months she’s going to either act in a film or direct a film Jolie answered:

“I’d prefer directing” and also added: “I loved having the spotlight on somebody else. And I would much prefer it.”

I’m not sure that we all agree with her, but…when you have to direct then you have to direct!
