New And Hi-Res “Alice in Wonderland” Images
Some new promo photos from Tim Burton’s “Alice in Wonderland” has been revealed. Check out also already seen but now Hi-Res photos of Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen, Anne Hathaway as the White Queen, Mia Wasikowska as Alice and Tweedledee and Tweedledum. Tweedledee and Tweedledum are among the first characters to greet Alice. The twins are played by British comic Matt Lucas. They take her to meet the Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp). Michael Sheen plays the White Rabbit, Alan Rickman - Caterpillar, Christopher Lee - Jabberwock, Stephen Fry - Cheshire Cat and Crispin Glover stars as The Knave of Hearts.
Burton’s Alice is almost like a sequel to the original Lewis Carroll’s story:
The traditional tale has been freshened with a blast of girl power, courtesy of writer Linda Woolverton (Beauty and the Beast). Alice, 17, attends a party at a Victorian estate only to find she is about to be proposed to in front of hundreds of snooty society types. Off she runs, following a white rabbit into a hole and ending up in Wonderland, a place she visited 10 years before yet doesn’t remember.
Eminem in “Funny People” First Look
Eminem will appear in Judd Apatow’s “Funny People.” It’s only a cameo, so that will be probably just the one scene. This was just the rumor but the first picture of his appearance is now online. We’ve got the very first look at Eminem’s tableside chat with Adam Sandler’s character, a comedian named George Simmons.
Marshall Mather - Eminem has only a small role in the film, but rounds out an extremely impressive cast that includes Adam Sandler, Seth Rogen, Leslie Mann, Eric Bana, Jonah Hill, Jason Schwartzman, Sarah Silverman, Norm MacDonald, Aziz Ansari, RZA, Dave Attell among the others.
When seasoned comedian George Simmons (Sandler) learns of his terminal, inoperable health condition, his desire to form a genuine friendship causes him to take a relatively green performer (Rogen) under his wing as his opening act.
The movie both written and directed by Judd Apatow is inspired by his own real life experiences and will be released this summer on July 31st, 2009.

Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning In “The Runaways” Images
Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning who also costar in “New Moon” together, are currently shooting in Los Angeles Floria Sigismondi - directed upcoming music biopic “The Runaways.” Check out some images and as always, click on any of them to enlarge.
The film will revolve around Joan Jett (Stewart), the lead character in the movie and Cheri Currie (Fanning) and follow them from the formation of the Runaways in 1975 all the way to the end of their career as a group - from the band’s meteoric rise as teenagers to their dissolution and disillusionment
“The Runaways” were hugely influential as the first successful all-girl hard rock band - its members included guitarists Joan Jett and Lita Ford, drummer Sandy West, singer - keyboardist Cherie Currie and bassist Jackie Fox.
Kick-Ass Pic and Details On Comic-Con Debut
Today we have a new pic from “Kick-Ass,” which features 11-year-old super-assassin named Mindy Macready/Hit Girl (Chloe Moretz).
Also, /Film is reporting that the new Matthew Vaughn film will be premiering brand new footage from the film at the 2009 Comic Con (San Diego). The “Kick-Ass” panel will take place on Thursday, July 23rd towards the end of the day. The full schedule for Comic-Con will be out next week.
“Kick-Ass” is a Mark Millar comic about a dorky high school student, named Dave Lizewski, who decides to become a superhero. The only problem is he has no defining ability or even coordination. A few problems arise when Dave encounters bad guys who can fight and have weapons.
