Watch: First TV Spot For Gordon-Levitt’s DON JON

DON JON Guess we’re all excited about Joseph Gordon-Levitt‘s directorial debut Don Jon (which will be released earlier than expected: in September), but this first TV spot shows pretty much – nothing. Still, if you want to take another look at a modern day Don Juan and his lovely co-star Scarlett Johansson – head inside & let us know what you think! Just as we said when we shared the first trailer for the whole thing, Gordon-Levitt’s upcoming romantic comedy revolves around a single New Jersey native named Jon Martello, whose porn addiction gets in the way of his relationships with the opposite sex. [jwplayer mediaid=”160042″] Or, in case you want more details:
Jon Martello is a strong, handsome, good old fashioned guy. His buddies call him Don Jon due to his ability to “pull” a different woman every weekend, but even the finest fling doesn’t compare to the bliss he finds alone in front of the computer watching pornography. Barbara Sugarman is a bright, beautiful, good old fashioned girl. Raised on romantic Hollywood movies, she’s determined to find her Prince Charming and ride off into the sunset. Wrestling with good old fashioned expectations of the opposite sex, Jon and Barbara struggle against a media culture full of false fantasies to try and find true intimacy.
Beside Gordon-Levitt as Jon, and Scarlett Johansson as Barbara, the rest of Don Jon‘s cast also includes Julianne Moore, Tony Danza, Brie Larson and Glenne Headly, and the movie is now set to hit theaters on September 27th, 2013. The release-update comes straight from Don Juan’s twitter:
We’re moving the #DonJon release date up to September 27th! So to all you fine folks who didn’t wanna wait til October, you’re welcome.
Stay tuned for more porn romantic updates! DON JON Image
