The Lorax Image

The first featurette for The Lorax, Dr. Seuss’s tale of environmental conservation told in 3D, which is being developed by Illumination Entertainment (Despicable Me, Hop) and has a voice cast comprised of Danny DeVito, Zac Efron, Ed Helms, Taylor Swift, Rob Riggle and Betty White, has hit the Web.

The 3D-CGI feature Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax is an adaptation of Dr. Seuss’ classic tale of a forest creature who shares the enduring power of hope. In the film, a boy named Ted (Zac Efron) goes in search of a real Truffula tree to impress a girl (Taylor Swift). He then meets the greedy Once-ler (Ed Helms), who needs the trees for its Thneeds business, and the Lorax (Danny DeVito), a creature who speaks to and protects the land.

Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax is directed by Chris Renaud and is set to hit theaters on March 2nd, 2012.
