Sigourney Weaver, according to the article, made it sound like the 57-year-old director James Cameron will be filming the hat-trick of Avatar movies all at once.

Cameron first hinted that there might be four Avatar movies as he will be making Avatar 2, 3, maybe 4. Weaver, who is due to reprise her role as Dr. Grace Augustine for the follow up to the 2009 3D sci-fi film confirmed the plans are in her schedule.

She revealed the details to Showbiz 411 at the premiere of her new Clinton –inspired series, Political Animals, saying that she goes right into a new Christopher Durang play for a short run at Lincoln Center and then she films Avatar 2, 3, and 4.

Here is an excerpt:

That’s right: they’re making three sequels to the blue 3D phenom all at the same time. Weaver says she has no idea how long it will take, or how it’s going to work. ‘I just show up,’ she said.

Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana have previously confirmed that they will also reprise their roles from the first film which told the tale of humans exploiting the natural resources of the planet Pandora.

There’s no word on exactly which actors will be back or what the storyline will involve the sequels to the top grossing movie of all time. Stay tuned.
