Tony Gilroy Directing The Bourne Legacy
Tony Gilroy (Michael Clayton, Duplicity), who has worked on all the past Bourne scripts, has signed on to direct the fourth film in the Jason Bourne franchise currently titled The Bourne Legacy.
Gilroy was hired in June 2010 to write the new spy thriller. Bourne 4 will not be based on the novel of the same name by Eric Lustabader, who continued the book series after Robert Ludlum died in 2001. We’ve heard a few times before that Matt Damon wouldn’t do another one unless Paul Greengrass was involved so at this point, no confirmation yet if Damon will reprise his most iconic role, Jason Bourne.

In early 2008, there were some rumors around the possibility of Universal Pictures making another “Bourne” movie.
“Bourne” producers Frank Marshall and Tom Crowley recently unveiled that the speculation is true.
Marshall and Crowley confirmed to IESB that the fourth Bourne film is indeed on the way.
