Al Pacino to Star In Dan Fogelman’s Imagine

Al PacinoImagine Al Pacino in the upcoming Dan Fogelman‘s project? It’s not so hard, right?

Well, guess what, it looks that Pacino is now in some serious negotiations to star in Fogelman’s directorial debut titled Imagine. It definitely sounds great. I mean, legendary Pacino on a big screen again? We like the idea!

He was last seen on the big screen opposite Robert De Niro in Righteous Kill, and that was back in 2008.

At this moment we know that Fogelman is responsible for the story that will center on a rocker who decides to change his life after discovering a letter written to him by John Lennon – prompting him to track down his biological son, whom he’s never met.

So, if negotiations work out fine, we’ll have a chance to watch Pacino as that “aging rocker” but unfortunately, previously attached Steve Carrell is no longer set to star as the rocker’s son.

Yoko Ono sues filmmakers

Yoko OnoYoko Ono is taking legal action against the producers of a documentary after they used John Lennon hit ‘Imagine‘ without permission.

Ono and sons Sean and Julian filed a lawsuit in Manhattan against Premise Media, makers of ‘Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed‘, claims the BBC.

Ono said the film’s credits made it appear that she had authorised the use of the track, sparking accusations on the internet that she was “selling out”.

The firm argued that the single’s inclusion is protected by the fair use doctrine, which allows the use of copyrighted materials without permission for the purposes of commentary and criticism. It also stressed that it had used “a very small portion of the song”.
