Check out 10 high resolution photos from Justin Zackham‘s rom-com The Big Wedding which stars Robert De Niro and Diane Keaton as a long-divorced couple who must pretend to still be married when their adopted son gets engaged. Why? They learn that the son’s birth mother, who is deeply religious and believes divorce is a sin, will be at the blessed event, and that if she discovers that De Niro and Keaton’s characters aren’t married, she won’t bless her son’s union.
Along with De Niro and Keaton the film also stars Katherine Heigl, Amanda Seyfried, Robin Williams, Topher Grace, Ben Barnes, Marc Blucas, and Susan Sarandon.
The script for the film was also written by Zackham and here’s the synopsis for the film:
A charmingly modern family tries to survive a weekend wedding celebration that has the potential to become a full blown family fiasco. To the amusement of their adult children and friends, long divorced couple Don and Ellie Griffin (Robert De Niro and Diane Keaton) are once again forced to play the happy couple for the sake of their adopted son’s (Ben Barnes) wedding after his ultra conservative biological mother unexpectedly decides to fly halfway across the world to attend. With all of the wedding guests looking on, the Griffins are hilariously forced to confront their past, present and future – and hopefully avoid killing each other in the process.
The Big Wedding opens April 26th, 2013.
