2 Guns reveals a brand new featurette, and you already know what that means: more action-packed footage, and another look at Baltasar Kormakur‘s leading duo. Head inside to hear what Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg have to say about their characters, and get ready for this (pretty cool) crime thriller which opens next week!
Hopefully there is more fun in the action than necessarily big explosions!
That's exactly what Kormakur had to say about his upcoming movie, which opens on August 2nd, 2013, and beside the above mentioned duo also stars Paula Patton, Bill Paxton, Edward James Olmos and James Marsden.
He directed the whole thing from a script written by Blake Masters, which is based on a comic series of the same name by Boom! Studios.
The story follows DEA agent Bobby Trench and U.S. naval intelligence officer Marcus Stigman, investigating one another in belief that they are stealing money from the mob. But when they realize that they were set up by the CIA, they must work together to return the money and stay alive.

For the past 12 months, Trench and Stigman have been reluctantly attached at the hip. Working undercover as members of a narcotics syndicate, each man distrusts his partner as much as the criminals they have both been tasked to take down. When their attempt to infiltrate a Mexican drug cartel and recover millions goes haywire, Trench and Stigman are suddenly disavowed by their superiors. Now that everyone wants them in jail or in the ground, the only person they can count on is the other. Unfortunately for their pursuers, when good guys spend years pretending to be bad, they pick up a few tricks along the way.
